All we can say is ... WOW. Kykuit is one of the Rockefeller estates and WOW it is sensational. A stop here was part of our favorites amongst our trip to Sleepy Hollow - the history, the architecture, the artwork, the nature - it is all beautiful beyond belief and lends itself well into a window into our nation's history. Visit in the Fall for some of the best foliage you'll find, or take a trip in the Spring to see the gardens + wisteria in bloom. Be sure to reserve tickets in advance as they tend to fill up quickly. We loved and cannot recommend our tour guide, Brian, more - he spoke passionately about everything and even snuck us a peek into a hidden area of the property. We opted for the Selected Highlights tour and can't imagine having done a different tour as we felt we covered the perfect amount of ground before becoming fatigued. No pictures are allowed inside the estates.
