Mama's is world famous on Maui's North Shore and features fresh caught fish throughout its menu that are brought in daily by local fishermen. It can take up to 18 months to get in here but we were lucky enough to walk in for lunch on the same day and it truly made our ENTIRE vacation. The experience at Mama's Fish House is so perfectly Hawaiian - with its wooden walls, kind-eyed wait staff dressed in Polynesian garb and epic ocean views. The restaurant sits on a lot with its own beach [often flocked with sea turtles!] and gorgeous, lush grounds. It's nearly impossible to describe just how "WOW!" Mama's really is - our eyes nearly bulged out of our head with every bite we took of every dish we ordered and we could hardly contain our excitement at the freshness and delight of it all. The flavor pairings and freshness of each dish, the pleasantness of the staff, the ambiance of the restaurant and the waves crashing in the distance - it could not be more perfect, We will find a way to return here ANY & EVERY time we are in Maui.
