We swung by here recently for their happy hour and had already made plans to return again before we had signed the check. As tough nacho critics, we can proudly say that White Horse Tavern may have the best nachos we've enjoyed so far in Manhattan, and as the second oldest bar in New York, we'd hope they've gotten a thing or two right by now. Thankfully, after trying their burger and sweet potato fries too, we can confirm that they've definitely gotten a few things down pat and the entire experience of visiting White Horse Tavern is basically a right of passage for any New Yorker and especially for every West Villager. They host trivia every other Tuesday and change the outdoor adornments of their restaurant with the seasons, so all the more reason to swing by soon and enjoy a drink and bar bite with friends.
